May our hearts and minds continue to birl away from self and move through the currents of this world, carried by His Word, to the eternal embrace of our Saviour, Christ Jesus.

Seasons of the Labyrinth

When I walked into the labyrinth today and saw the sheaths on the ground, I was reminded that it has been just over a year now since this all began. What a journey it has been to see the seasons of the labyrinth. The explosion of growth in late summer, the way the bamboo leaves dance to the ground in fall ~ so many changes with the seasons! New growth, death and everything in between…it just keeps going.

Yesterday at lunch, my friend Jacque pointed to a cute flower arrangement on the shop lunch table and said, “Aren’t these cute? They are a few discards from today, but they sure do up well. Kinda like people, I guess. We do up well when we’re arranged right, too.”
Okay, so all I managed to say was, ”Wow!”

First, I am so very thankful (again!) for the wisdom God puts around me!!! What Jacque said is so very true. We all have seasons, places we are “to be” in life. The key to doing well, is to allow ourselves to be “arranged” properly in God’s design for our life. We can make plans all we want, but if they’re not God’s plan we will not flourish as He intends.

A Truth that helps me is to try to remind myself that our perception of reality, is not reality. We cannot possibly grasp all that God is, what His purposes are ~ we are being made holy, but we’re sure not there yet. God is doing a work in us, but our primary part is to yield, to have a heart to listen and allow Him to arrange us just right.
There are times that are difficult, but Peace and Grace cast out fear and dissipate the difficult.

After the storm passes, the wrongdoers are blown away,
but those who do right are safe and sound on their firm foundations forever.
Proverbs 10:25 ~ The Voice Version

God is our foundation, our firm foundation, so even when the wind is blowing and life’s season seems precarious, we can trust in His foundational plan for our days. The key is to choose to trust, to choose to keep going!
Many prayers of blessing for you all who have journeyed with me in this season. You have been a real blessing and I am so very grateful that God has us together to “keep going” in every season….
