Matthew 11:28 b

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me — watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

Prepare ~ Luke 18:1…Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

Thank God for the gift of prayer and this time right now. Ask Him to quiet your soul and prepare you for this time together.

Repent ~ Psalm 66:17-18 I cried out to him with my mouth;  his praise was on my tongue.  If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;
 Ask God to show you how HE sees the things you “cherish” that are a separation in your relationship with Him and ask His forgiveness.

Attention ~ Psalm 46:10…Be still and know that I am God.

Matthew 6:34…Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes..

Stop and listen to His creation’s voice, still your thoughts and put your full attention on  Him.

CENTER ~ Ephesians 5:10…and find out what pleases the Lord

Ssssh, just listen.

Yield ~Jeremiah 18:4…But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

Take these moments to be mindful of the impressions God has given you, open to learn, and aware of His molding your life…yield.

Extol ~ I Chronicles 16:8-11 ~ Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;  make known among the nations what he has done.  Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.  Glory in his holy name;  let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.  Look to the Lord and his strength;  seek his face always.

Extol the Lord, our Creator, Yahweh Shammah! Praise and thank Him for meeting you here today. (def: Yahweh is there. In the name "YHWH-Shammah" is the promise and pledge of God in completing the work He began in us at creation, to bring us to our final eternity with Him.)

Retain ~ Psalm 66:16,19 &20… Come and hear, all you who fear God;
    let me tell you what he has done for me….¹⁹ but God has surely listened
    and has heard my prayer.²⁰ Praise be to God,  who has not rejected my prayer  or withheld his love from me!

Ask God what you are to take from this time back into your daily life.
